Sunday All Saints Procession

Students and Adults are encouraged to come in costumes depicting their favorite saint! All participants are asked to meet in the Sacristy in costume by 10:45am on Sunday, 29 October 2023. Our Saints Parade will be a part of the Entrance and Recessional Procession! This is a great opportunity for families to spend time talking about the saints. You might choose the saint your child is named after or any other saint you all admire. It is truly a spectacular family faith extravaganza!

Eucharistic Revival

The Parish-focused second year of the Eucharistic Revival officially began on June 11th. During this year of the Eucharistic Revival, one of our goals at Saint John Bosco is to promote and encourage increasing Eucharistic Devotion. You are invited to join us for a Holy Hour at 10am in the Adoration Chapel on 6 December 2023. Treat yourself to some quiet time in prayer and adoration before the Blessed Sacrament. The Holy Hour provides each person an opportunity to bring before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament the cares, concerns, joys, sorrows and thanksgivings that we all experience each day. Come join us as we pray together, as the Apostles did, in the presence of Jesus. Come as a family or as an individual! All are most welcome.

Becoming a Catholic Christian

Are you someone or know someone who has expressed an interest in becoming a Catholic Christian? Do you know of a child over the age 7 who has not been baptized, or baptized Catholic but not confirmed and/or receiving Holy Community ? We offer an opportunity to come together in a small group to learn more about our faith. Sessions focus on the teachings and experience of Church and prepare individuals to celebrate the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist during the Easter season. There are separate sessions for children, youth and adults. You are welcome to participate with your questions, your insights and your faith story in a warm accepting setting. For information please contact the Faith Formation Office, (267) 803-0774.

Traveling Pope St John Paul II Statue

A statue of Pope Saint John Paul II will be traveling to the homes of our Parishioners for a week-long visit during the National Eucharistic Revival. You are invited to bring the Statue to your home. This is a unique opportunity for you to have special prayer time. Each day you are asked to say the simple devotion which will be pro- vided. Traveling devotions help keep prayer & spirituality close to home for many. Usually the statue is transferred over the weekend at church. Should you have any questions or would like more information, please contact the rotation coordinator at (215) 669-8159

Parish Mass of Remembrance

All are invited to the annual parish Mass of Remembrance on Sunday, 5 November 2023 at 11:00 am. This Mass offers an opportunity to pray for all who have died and in particular those who have been buried from our parish in the past year. These deceased family and friends will be remembered by name within Mass.
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and all the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen.

Catholic Charities

With God’s grace and through the generosity of so many in our local Church, we hope to meet our goal of raising $12.5 million for the 2023 Catholic Charities Appeal. To date, Saint John Bosco has raised 54% of its goal of $34,507. Thank you for your generous support to date. Reaching parish goals is more vital than ever right now. Every gift matters and helps to ensure that our charitable ministries can continue to service all who count on them. If you have notmade a contribution to this important collection, it is not too late! Drop your envelope in the collection basket or at the Parish Center. Together, one family in Christ, we can make a difference in the lives of those in need.
